NIT Mizoram is collaborating with Japan to advance academic and research activities

National Institute of Technology Mizoram signed a strategic mutual interest with Gifu University, Japan, along with participating institutions in the North Eastern Region of India, including the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. This is to establish a collaborative platform for dialogue, exploration of academic and research opportunities, and the exchange of students, researchers, and faculty members in the potential areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), healthcare, design, technology, innovation, and interdisciplinary studies.
This document was signed by Prof. S. Sundar, Director, NIT Mizoram, Prof. D. Jalihal, Director, IIT Guwahati, and Prof. Kazuhiro Yoshida, President, Gifu University, Japan, in the Japan-NER Academia-Industry Technology Cooperation Consortium (JNSTCS) 2026, held at the IIT Guwahati from March 09-10, 2026.
The Institutions of the Consortium intended to engage in discussions, consultations, and knowledge-sharing activities and participate in annual meetings, workshops, conferences, or symposia conducted under the Consortium framework.
