The Human body is the outer manifestation of the Human mind. The Human mind is sustained by the Human soul. The Human soul is the gateway to the entire universe. As Swami Vivekananda says "All powers and all purity and all greatness, everything is in the soul". Hence, the soul has to be kept disciplined and one of the main aphorisms of discipline is "Cleanliness". The practice of cleanliness should start with the self which aims at attaining austerity by renouncing wickedness and embracing righteousness. Since a society defines humanity, the personal cleanliness must give way to a broader prospect leading to social and eventually global cleanliness and hygiene. Based on this principle and the motto of spreading the aura of hygiene, the Honourable Prime Minister of India, with a noble thought, has introduced the concept of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on 2nd October, 2014 from Rajghat, New Delhi. This mission aims at creating an awakening in the minds of Indians so that we all can join hands and work harmoniously towards making our motherland a pious, clean and healthy country to live in.
