The Institute is currently functioning in a temporary campus in the city of Aizawl. It comprises of 1 Administrative Block and 6 Academic Blocks at Chaltlang. The Central Library also is housed in a separate block. There are 4 Boys' hostels and 1 Girls' hostel.
The permanent campus is proposed to be located at Lengpui, Aizawl district. The total demarcated land area is 190.35 acre (770319.12 sqm).
