Student Achievements

1. A project submitted by a 5th sem student Avishek Gope (BT20CS028) for the Google Supported Virtual Internship Programme is selected as one of the top projects. He got 2nd rank after finalround. It was conducted by jointly by Google developer, Kotlin and AICTE.
2. Mr. Niraj Kumar, a student of 2019-23 batch got awarded as NPTEL Domain Scholar in Programming, by NPTEL.
3.  Baddala Sai Kumar Reddy a student of 2019-23 batch has secured AIR 107 in the GATE exam.
4. Two students of department (namely Mr. Robert Lalramhluna (DT21CS003), Mr. Younis Mir (MT21CS001)) completed DST sponsored three months “Research Exposure cum TrainingProgramme for Students from North - Eastern States and UTs of Jammu and Kashmir and LadakhRegion” in CSIR–NEIST.
5. Ms. Isha Singh, a student of 2019-23 got DAAD-WISE scholarship 2022, for the researchinternship at Technische Universität Ilmenau, Germany.
6.  Mr. Avishek Gope, a student of 2020-24 batch got Certification Coursera SpecializationCertificate (Google Cloud ACE). He had also got 2nd position in Web-Dev competition by IIT Hyderabad
7. Minkashi Boruah and Ranjita Das, "Transfer Learning Based Advanced Deep Learning Architecture for the Identifcation of HIV-1 Integration Sites Using Imbalanced Dataset" received best paper award in FICTA-2022

1. 2nd International Conference on Data, Electronics and Computing (ICDEC-2023) Organised by Department of Computer Science and Engineering & Electronics and Communication Engineering Mizoram University (A Central University) Aizawl, India from December 15-16, 2023
2. A five days Workshop on Next Generation(5G/6G)CommunicationNetworks: Overview,Technology,Applications and RecentTrends was held in Department of CSE sponsored by NIT Mizoram and BMG Informatics from October 9-13, 2023. Dr. Lalhruaizela was the Convener and Dr. Ashish Singh Patel was the Co-ordinator.
3. A five days online Workshop on “AI & HPC” was held in Dept. of CSE in collaboration with IIT Kharagpur from 25-29th July 2022. Dr. Ranjita Das was the Convener. 
4. The department successfully organized the 10th International Conference on Frontiers ofIntelligent Computing: Theory and Applications (FICTA 2022) during 18th-19th June 2022 in online mode.

Events Conducted

1. The departmental lab was successfully used to conduct the CUET-UG (17th to 23rd August 2022,30th August 2022) and CUET-PG (September 1, 2022 to September 12, 2022)
2. The Computer Science Society held 2 days event during March 2023 including Coding Competition and Motivational talk by some of the Alumni of the Institute. Students from differentdepartment of the Institute participated in it.
3. Department of Computer Science & Engineering is organizing a 5-days short term course on 'Robotics Motion Planning' from 25th March to 30th March, 2024. 
4. Department od CSE, NIT Mizoram in association with Mizoram police organized a three day event "Hackventure 2.0" from April 8-10, 2024

1. Dr. Vaibhav Malviya, Asst. Prof., CSE delivered an expert talk on the topic “Autonomous SocialRobots” on 26 December, 2022 being organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University (IGDTUW), Delhi.
